Oregon Overture is the third in the series of Pacific Northwest Reflections and captures the felt-experience of a visit to the coastal town of Seaside where I and my family would vacation and where we last stayed in a small cottage decorated by a professor of the American Arts and Crafts Movement. The seaside cottage was an eclectic collectors haven yet beautifully decorated which was an absolute delight to experience, though admittedly a nerve-racking one with a touch-everything toddler in tow at that time.
The experience heightened my sense of fascination with how our environments both internal and external shape how we create our experience of home, how we awaken to a consciousness in ourselves through beauty of form when objects around us are elevated to art form as they were in this cottage.
