Healing Legacy looks messy which was the feeling I wanted to express in creating the felt-sense of confusion and paradox we so often inherit with legacies from family, culture, countries of origin and all the politics that swirled in them. My personal reflections in doing this piece focus on the legacy of religion in particular. There is in the maze of the piece what looks like a celtic walking staff which to someone who grew up in Ireland is something synonymous with the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick.
